This undulating course offers a perfect mix of challenging climbs and rewarding panoramic views, taking you through quintessential rural landscapes. It is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, with lush surroundings providing a refreshing backdrop for your run. To ensure you stay refreshed, a well-stocked water stop is conveniently located at around the halfway mark, allowing you to rehydrate and tackle the remaining miles with renewed energy.

ROUTE: On open roads from the playing fields via Howleigh Lane towards Angersleigh, dropping towards the Motorway services where we will have a water stop about halfway. Then steadily climbing back through Knights Cross and left after Chelmsine, retracing intitial steps after Lowton crossroads. Roads will be open to the public and traffic. Marshalls will be around the course for your safety but please keep to the left hand side where possible and mind any traffic. Distance markers and Arrow signs to show you where to go.

CAR PARKING: As you enter Blagdon Hill from Taunton direction you will see signs pointing to you a field to park in on the opposite side of the road to the playing fields. No parking will be available at the playing fields.

RACE REGISTRATION OPENS: from 1700hrs at the playing field Marquee, collect your number here. We will have pins for numbers if required.

BAG DROP: You are welcome to leave a bag with any warm clothes / snacks / drink etc in the marquee while you are running. The marquee is dry and secure, however only bring what you need and leave valuables in a safe place. Bags are left at your own risk.

RACE START TIME: 1815hrs. Race start will be clearly marked and all runners will leave after completing a start lap from the playing field to help spread runners out.

WATER STOP:  There will be a water stop approximately halfway around the course. If it's a hot evening you may wish to carry an extra water supply yourself.

RACE RULES: Adults only race. No pets. No headphones. No littering.

RESULTS: Will be published on the night - positions and times will be printed and available at the marquee shortly after you finish

PRIZES: Prizegiving will take place when the majority of competitors have finished

FOOD and DRINK: Purchase be available on the evening - BBQ and Licensed Bar

CANCELLATION and REFUNDS: From the moment we begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. 
Your entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event - everything from course markers, planning to printing and safety pins, from race numbers to marketing..This is a Charity event for the PFA and requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense. Therefore we are unable to offer refunds or defer entries.
Circumstances may dictate that for reasons beyond our control we are unable to use the proposed race route. This may well happen at the last minute due to issues such as extreme weather; an accident on route, the course is crime scene or a more obscure reason! If there was to be an issue with a race route in the lead up to the event or on the day, we would try to do the following in order of preference…

1. Seek to re-route the course - this would result in the race distance probably not being as advertised. We would endeavour to make it as close as possible; however it may well have to be reduced significantly.
2. Cancel the race – Offer runner’s entry to another Blagdon Hill PFA race at a date in the future and a discounted rate, where possible.
